Dodssang Tempel are a solo project from the United States that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a mixture of death industrial, harsh noise, power electronics, dark ambient and dungeon synth and this is a review of his 2023 album "Ex Altera Parte" which was released by Outsider Industries.
Dark ambient soundscapes and synths start off the album before adding in some power electronics and harsh noises. The album also mixes in the brutality of death industrial while the high pitched screams add in touches of black metal when they are introduced into the music and the album also has its ritualistic moments.
Industrial beats can also be heard in certain sections of the recording while each song also sounds very different from each other. A lot of the tracks are also instrumentals along with one song also adding in a brief use of demonic voices and the album also captures the atmosphere of the Cold meat Industry releases of the 90's.
On this recording Dodssang Tempel takes death industrial, harsh noise, power electronics, dark ambient, dungeon synth and black metal and mixes them together to create a very diverse release while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Dodssang Tempel and if you are a fan of death industrial, harsh noise, power electronics, dark ambient and dungeon synth, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "I" "IV" and "VII". 8 out of 10.
