Transcendent Device are a band from New York that has been featured before in this zine with a musical style on this recording being dark ambient/drone and this is a review of their 2009 cassette "The Hopeless Of Logic" which was released by No Visible Scars.
Synths bring a very dark/ambient drone sound to the music mixed in with some Tibetan mediative sounds that gives the music an esoteric feeling as well as a brief use of heavy distortion which adds in some noise and industrial influences and they are the only musical instrument that are present on this recording.
Vocals and songwriting are all absent from t his recording, while the song themes cover darkness and philosophical themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with the songs not either being tooo short or long in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Transcendent Device and if you are a fan of dark ambient/drone, you should check out this cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Nothing To Believe In" "There Is No I" "All Shall Perish" and "The Wall Have Teeth". RECOMMENDED BUY.
