Satanath are a solo project from Russia that has been featured before in this zine and plays dark ambient and this is a review of his self released 2013 compilation album which was released as a joint effort between Satanath Records, Dead Dog Skull and Heil Hell Productions.
A very dark ambient sounding intro starts off the album and after the intro the music starts adding in programmed beats and the music the music gets more experimental as well as adding in some distorted yet melodic guitar riffing which also adds elements of metal onto the recording and some of the songs are very long and epic in length.
Most of the music is instrumental and the music gets very diverse with each track along with the synths get very organic at times and as the album progresses more drones are added onto the recording while some songs also bring in loops and elements of noise and the music also brings in a very ritualistic and occult atmosphere at times.
Satanath plays a style of dark ambient on this recording that is very atmospheric and instrumental while still being very diverse and synth driven at the same time and the production has a very dark and raw sound.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Satanath and if you are a fan of dark ambient, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Lethel Exukution" "Atlantis Annihilation" "Flesh Burial" and "Anabolic Religion". 8 out of 10.
