Dark Occvlt Ritual/Hazardal/Ater Lunae Templi/2015 EP Review

 Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  are  a  duo  from  Brazil  that  has  been  featured  before in  this  zine  and  plays  a musical  style I  would  describe  as  being  occult  dark  ritual  ambient   and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2015  ep  "Hazardala"  which  was  released  by  Ater  Lunae  Templi.

  Dark  sounding  drones  start  off  the  ep  along  with  some  atmospheric  elements  and  you  can  also  hear  noises  being  utilized  in  the  background  at  times  while  synths  have  a  very  strong  presence  on  the  recording  ad  they  bring  in  a  heavy  influence  from  ambient  music  and  as  time  goes on  by  the  sounds  of  thunder  can  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  song  which  is  over  33  minutes  in  length  and  is  also  the  only  song  present  on  the  recording  and  the  song  is  instrumental.

  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  creates  another  recording  that  is  very  ritualistic  and  occult  but  done  in  more  of  a  dark  ambient  direction,  songwriting  and  vocals  are  all  absent  from  the  recording  with  the  music  being  all instrumental,  while  the  production  sounds  very dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  occult  and  ritualistic  dark  ambient,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  8  out  of  10.    

Helvetti/Dark Occvlt Ritual/Hidden Voices/The true Blackevil/2014 Split EP Review

  Helvetti  and  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  are  2  projects  from  Brazil  that  team  up  on  this  recording  and  create  some  dark  occult  ritualistic  ambient  music  with  the  ep  being  called  "Hidden  Voices"  and  released  by  The  True  Blackevil.

  The  ep  starts  out  with  wood  burning  and  ritualistic  spoken  word  parts  and  on  the  following  track   melodic  chanting  is  added  into  the  recording  along  with  the  vocals  adding  in  more  black  metal  influences  along  with  some  drones  and  the  last  2  tracks  are  a  2  part  concept  as  well  as  the music  getting  even  more  harsh  and  evil  on  the  last  track  as  well  as  being  almost  20  minutes  long  and  towards  the  end  synths  are  added  into  the  song.

  With  this  ep  Helvetti  and  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  bring  in  a  very  dark  and  evil  sound  that  is  very  blasphemous  and  ritualistic  and  you  can   hear  some  demons  being  invoked  in  the  3  songs  that  are  present  on  this  recording.

  In  my  opinion  Helvetti  and  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  are  2  very  great  sounding  evil  and  ritualistic  dark  ambient  acts  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Until  the  Reaper  Comes  PT. 1".  8  out  of  10.  

Dark Occvlt Ritual/Oro Per Nex/Black Evil Productions/2013 Album Review

  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  are  a  1  man  band  from  Brazil  that  is  a  side  project  of  the  black  metal  band  C.O.F.O.C  with  a  musical  style  I  would  describe  as  being  occult  dark  ritual  ambient  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "Oro  Per  Nex"  which  was  released  by  Black  Evil  Productions.

  Sound  effects  bring  in  elements  of  experimental,  ritual,  and  dark  ambient  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  bring  a  dark  occult  ritual  to  the  album  and  there  are  no  other  instruments  present  on  this  album.

  Vocals   are  all  spoken  word  ritualistic  passages  along  with  some  whispers  that  bring  in  some  black  metal  elements,  while  the  song  themes  cover  Occultism,  Rituals  and  Left  hand  Path  practices,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  with  most  of  the  songs  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  In  my  opinion  Dark  Occvlt  Ritual  are  a  very  great  sounding  ritualistic,  experimental,  occult  dark  ambient  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "I"  and  "III".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
