Order Of Victory/Sacris Tandem/Strength Of Materials/Casus Belli Musica/2015 Split CD Review

Russia's  Order  Of  Victory  and  Sacris  Tandem  team  up  together  on  this  recording  and  mix  the  neo-folk,  industrial,  martial,  ritual  and ambient  genres  together  and  this is  a  review  of  their  2015  album  "Strength  Of  Materials"  which  was  released  by  Casus  Belli  Musica.

A  very  dark  and  ritualistic  ambient  drone  sound  starts  off  the  album   and  the  music  also  gets  very  avant  garde  and  experimental  at  times  and  after  awhile  spoken  word  parts  start  becoming  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording  and  when  female  vocals  are  utilized  they  give  the  music  more  of  an  operatic  feeling.

The  whole  track  that  is  present  on  this  recording  is  almost  50  minutes  in  length  and  there  are  also  a  great  amount  of  synths,  distorted  sounds  and  bells  present  through  the  album  and  the  music  also  gets  very  ritualistic  at  times  and  as  the  album  progresses  some  of  the  vocals  start  getting  more  demonic  at  times  and  after  awhile  martial  and militant  drum  beats  are  added  into  the  music  at  times  and  they  add  a  war  like  atmosphere to  the  ambience  this  recording  creates.

Order  Of  Victory  and   Sacris  Tazndem  combine  their  different  styles  together  to  create  an  almost  50  minute  track  that  captures  a  very  underground,  ritualistic,  ambient  and  atmospheric  martial  song  that  demonstrates  a great  amount  of  experimentation  and  originality,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics cover  war  and  philosophical  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  joint  effort  from  Order  of  Victory  and  Sacris  Tandem  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  neo-folk,  martial,  ritual,  industrial   and  ambient,  you  should  check  out  this  split.  8  out  of  10.

Order Of Victory/TSIDZM/Third Rome/Casus Belli Musica/2015 Split EP Review

This  is  a  review  of  a  split  ep  between  Russia's  Order  Of  Victory  and  Italy's  TSIDZM  which  was  released  by  Casus  Belli  Musica  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Order  Of  Victory  a  band  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  martial  and  neo  folk.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  violins  and  people  noises  and  a  few  seconds  later  melodic  vocals  are  added  into  the  song  along  with  some  acoustic  guitars  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  medieval  folk  feeling  and  when  drum  beats  are  added  into  the  track  it  gives  the  music  more  of  a  martial  feeling,  the  production  sounds  very  powerful  while  the  lyrics  cover  Ancient  Rome.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  track  from  Order  Of  Victory  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  check  out  this  song.

Next  up  is  TSIDMZ  a  band  that  plays  a  mixture  of  martial  and  electro  industrial.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  experimental  sounds  and  melodic  chanting  that  is  sampled  from  an  orthodox  church  and  the  song  goes  for  more  of  an  underground  style  of  martial  and  industrial  and  can  also  be  very  primitive  at  times,  the  production  sounds  very  powerful  while  the  lyrics  deal  with  Ancient  Rome.

In  my  opinion  TSIDMZ  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  martial  and  industrial  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this band.

In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  martial,  neo  folk  and  industrial. 8  out  of  10.

Order Of Victory/Lost December/Casus Belli Musica/2014 CD Review

Order  From  Victory  are  a  band  from  Russia  that  has  had  past  material  reviewed  before  in  the  zine  and  continues  their  mixture  of  martial  and  neo-folk  on  this  recording  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2014  album  "Lost  December"  which  was  released  by  Casus  Belli  Musica.

Spoken  word  samples  start  off  the  album  and  after  a  minute  militant  drum  beats  and  neo-classical  synths  along  with  some  elements  of  dark  ambient  are  added  onto  the  recording  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  an  epic  edge  and  when  vocals  are  utilized  they  bring  in  more  of  a  neo  folk  feeling  to  the  musical  sound  on  the  recording.

At  times  the  vocals  can  get  very  aggressive  and  a  good  portion  of  the  tracks  are  long  and  epic  and  there  are  also  some  tracks  that  incorporate  acoustic  guitars  along  with  spoken  word  samples  making  a  return  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  as  the  album  progresses  violins  can  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  while  a  little  track  also  brings  in  a  brief  use  of  electric  guitars.

Order  From  Victory  creates  another  album  that  continues  the  martial  neo-folk  sound  of  previous  albums  as  well  as  giving  each  track  and  epic  atmosphere,  the  production  sounds  very  powerful  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Russian  and  cover  military  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Order  Of  Victory  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  neo-folk  and  martial,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE "Lost  December"  and  "Sorrow".  8  out  of  10.

Order Of Victory/Memento Belli/Casus Belli Musica/2014 CD Review

Order  Of  Victory  are  a  band  from  Russia  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  martial  and  neo  folk  music  and  this  is  a  review  of  their 2014  album  "Memento  Belli"  which  was  released  by  Casus  Belli  Musica.

Acoustic  guitars  and  synths  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  programmed  beats  which  also  leads  up  to  more  of  and  epic  and  atmospheric  sound  and  a  few  seconds  later  melodic  vocals  start  to  kick  in  and  they  bring  a  more  medieval  folk  music  feeling  to  the  recording  and  on  the  second  track  spoken  words  and  military  samples  are  added  into  the  music.

The  folk  instruments  the  band  uses  brings  in  an  early  Slavic  folk  music  feeling  to  the  bands  musical  sound  along  with  the  beats  having  a  very  militant  and  war  like  feeling  to  them  at  times,  on  the  3rd  track  a  small  amount  of  choirs  are  added  into  the  music  as  well  as  the  synths  having  more  of  an  organic  atmosphere  on  this  track .

When  female  vocals  are  added  into  the  music  they  bring  in  a  more  new  age,  gothic  and  operatic  feeling  to  the  bands  musical  sound  and  each  track  has  a  very  different  sound  to  it  while  the  music  also  remains  true  to  a  neo  folk  direction  and  as  the  album  progresses  the  drum  beats  start  evoking  more  of  a  WWI  or  WWII  atmosphere.

Order  Of  Victory  remain  true  to  their  mixture  of  martial  and  neo  folk  on  this  recording  creating  a  very  medieval  and  war  like  atmosphere  with  their  musical  sound,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  epic  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Russian  and  cover  the  First  World  War  and  Civil  War  that  went  on  in  Russia  around  a  hundred  years  ago.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Order  Of  Victory  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  enjoy  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "You  Wont  Survive"  and  "Phoenix".  8  out  of  10..

Order  of  Victory  are  a  band  from  Russia  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  a  musical  style  that  combines  martial  and  neo  folk  music  together  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2014  ep  "Calamitis  Virtutis Occasio  Est"  which  was  released  by  Casus  Belli  Musica.

The  ep  starts  out  with  flutes  and  spoken  word  parts  and  a  few  seconds  later  acoustic  guitars  and  melodic  vocals  are  added  into  the  music  along  with  tribal  style  drums  and  synths  a  few  seconds  later  and  the  second  song  starts  out  with  World  War  II  samples  before  adding  in  folk  instruments  as  well  as  going  into  a  more  atmospheric  direction  while  also  having  militant  drums.

Song  lyrics are  written  in  Russian  and  cover  the  writings  of  Yurily  P.  Voronov,  while  the  production  has  a  very  dark  and  powerful  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Order  Of  Victory  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  martial  and  neo-folk  music,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Memory".  8/5  out  of  10.

Order Of Victory/Nemo oblivioni tradita est, nihil oblivioni tradita est/Casus Belli Musica/2013 CD Review

Order  Of  Victory  are  a  band  from  Russia  that  plays  a mixture  of  martial  and  neo-folk  music  and this  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "Nemo  Oblivioni  Tradita  Est,  Nihil  Oblivioni   Tradita  Est"  which  was  released  by  Casus  Belli  Musica.

Drums  are  all  slow  martial  beats  which  gives  the  music  a  war  like  feeling,  while  the  synths  bring  a  very  dark,  atmospheric,  medieval  and  neo  folk  sound  to  the  recording  and  besides  the  drums  and  synths  there  are  no  other  musical  instruments  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  mostly  clean  singing  neo  folk  music  vocals  with  some  spoken  word  parts  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  first  2  world  wars,  Russian  civil  war  and  the  poetry  of  N. Gumilev,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  a  couple  of  the  songs  being  long  and epic  in  length.

In  my  opinion  Order  Of  Victory  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  martial  and  neo  folk  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pray"  "White  Dance  Of  Death"  and  "Hope".  RECOMMENDED BUY.
