Trepaneringsritualen are a solo project from Sweden that plays a ritualistic form of death industrial and this is a review of his 2017 album "Kainskult" which was released by Tesco Organization.
Angry screams start off the album along with some demonic voices a few seconds later that also have a semi melodic tone at times along with some back up vocals and on the second track the music starts bringing in more of an underground industrial style and growls are also utilized in some parts of the songs.
Programmed beats can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording along with some tribal drumming and metal percussion which also gives the songs more of a ritualistic feeling while a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length and as the album progresses the music gets more experimental and avant garde and when spoken word parts are utilized they give the music more of a ritualistic feeling.
Trepaneringsritualen plays a style of death metal that is very ritualistic and avant garde sounding, the production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover Kain the original Heresiarch and his battle with Yaldabaoth the Gnostic Demiurge.
In my opinion Trepaneringsritualen are a very great sounding ritualistic death industrial solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Death And Ecstasy" "Feral Me" and "An Immaculate Body Of Water". 8 out of 10.
