Paths Of Prakriti are a band that plays an occult form of psychedelic folk rock and this is a review of their 2011 album "Axis Mundi" which was released by Merlins Nose.
Drums are all slow playing, while the organs and keyboards bring a very psychedelic 60's sound to the music, as for the flutes and other folk instruments they bring in some more pagan sounding medieval elements to the recording.
Acoustic guitars use finger picking and full chords to bring a 60's to early 70's psychedelic folk sound to the album, while the electric guitars are very distorted and melodic sounding blues rock guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are all clean singing folk rock vocals, while the lyrics cover darkness and occult themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, dark, old school and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Paths Of Prakriti are a very great sounding occult psychedelic folk rock band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dark Horse" "Kali Has Woven" "Devil's Eye & Demons Sigh" and "Heaven And Hell". RECOMMENDED BUY.
