This is a review of another recording from Earhead with the musical style continuing his approach to dark noise and the album was self released in 2012 and called"Last Days On Earth".
"I" which is also the first song on the album opens up with natural noise sounds and avant garde sound effects and as time goes on by you can also hear some atmospheric and dark ambient elements making their way into the song which also leads to some harsh sounding power electronics coming in and out of the music.
"II" begins with atmospheric sound effects and a minute alter loops are added into the song along with some ambient synths and halfway through the song elements of harsh noise and power electronics kick in.
'III" opens up with harsh noise sounds and brutal sounding power electronics and you can hear a lot Japanese influenced noise elements being added into the song and the music gets more diverse as time goes on by.
"IV" starts up with harsh sounding loops and power electronics along with some dark ambient and drone elements as well as some avant garde style synths and as time goes on by the music gets more diverse.
"V" kicks in with harsh noise sounds and brutal power electronics and after a couple of minutes there is a brief use of drone style guitar riffs being utilized briefly along with some experimental and avant garde sounds and halfway through the song you can hear small amounts of spoken words being utilized.
"VI" comes in with avant garde and experimental sounds and after awhile you can hear some dark industrial sound s being utilized in the background which also leads up to some harsh power electronics kicking in along with some dark ambient elements.
"VII" hits it off with dark ambient/drone sounds and a few seconds later experimental, avant garde and noise sounds make their way into the music and halfway through the song there is a brief use of electric guitar style noises added into the song as well as the power electronics adding harsh elements to certain sections of the song and towards the end you can hear a small amount of spoken words in the background.
"VIII" is introduced with harsh noise sounds and power electronics and after awhile static and am radio sounds are added into the music along with some samples and towards the end high pitched screams are added into the song.
"IX" which is also the last song on the album begins with dark ambient synths and noises and after awhile power electronic drones start to kick in along with some programmed drum beats which also leads up to some harsh sounding loops.
Song themes cover the end of the world, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it along with all of the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Earhead and if you are a fan of dark noise, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "I" IV" VII" and "IX". RECOMMENDED BUY.
