Kruksog are a solo project from Bulgaria that plays a very dark and medieval form of neo-folk music and this is a review of his 2017 ep "Foster Prudence which was released by Le Recoours aux Forets Productions.
Acoustic guitars which also bring in a mixture of finger picking and full chords start off the ep and also bring in elements of folk music along with some female vocals a few seconds later while atmospheric soundscapes can also be heard in the background as well as a small amount of folk instruments and all of the tracks sound different from each other.
Kruksog plays a style of neo-folk that is very dark and medieval sounding, the production sound s very dark while the lyrics cover Nature and Slavic Paganism themes.
In my opinion Kruksog are a very great sounding dark and medieval neo-folk solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Driftwood Tavern" and "Perun". 8 out of 10.
