Collapse Of Light are an international band form Europe that plays a very melodic and atmospheric form of funeral doom/death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Each Failing Step" which will be released on April 29th by Rain Without End Records.
Acoustic guitars start off the album along with some stringed instruments a few seconds later and also mix in with the heavier doom metal riffs while clean vocals can also be heard at times while the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody as well as a great amount of death metal growls.
Most of the tracks are very long and epic in length while black metal screams can also be heard briefly along with the music also bringing in a great amount of atmospheric sounding keyboards as well as some song also adding in a small amount of spoken word parts and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic fashion and all of the music sticks to a very slow direction.
Collapse Of Light plays a style of funeral doom/death metal that is very atmospheric, melodic and tragic sounding, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover sorrow and melancholy themes.
In my opinion Collapse Of Light are a very great sounding atmospheric and melodic funeral doom/death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "A Place To Die" and "Leaving The Light Behind". 8 out of 10.
