Seattle, Washington's solo project Noisepoetnobody has returned with a new recording which shows the music going for a mixture of noise, drone, minimalism, experimental and industrial and this is a review of his 2022 ep "Potential Vs eventual" which was released by Scry Recordings.
Minimalist beats and atmospheric sounding drones start off the ep while all of the tracks are also very long and epic in length. Synths are also a very huge part of the recording along with the songs also mixing in a great amount of noises and most of the tracks also stick to an instrumental direction.
All of the songs also sound very different from each other while field recordings, home made instruments and tape manipulation can also be heard at times which also gives the ep more diversity along with one song also adding in a brief use of sampled voices and touches of industrial can also be heard at times.
On this recording Noisepoetnobody remains true to his mixture of noise, drone, minimalism, experimental, filed recordings and industrial that he has established on previous releases while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Noisepoetnobody and if you are a fan of noise, drone, minimalism, experimental, filed recordings and industrial, you should check out this ep. 8 out of 10.
