Gloomintrolls are a band from Finland that plays dark ambient/drone and this is a review of their 2011 album "Trollsorrow" which was released by Kalpamantra.
Synths are very atmospheric sounding dark ambient drones with a variety of many different keys being utilized with the songs being very long and epic in length, while the sound effects bring experimental and avant garde sounds to the music.
Vocals and songwriting are all absent from the recording with the music being all instrumental, while the song themes revolve around darkness and nature, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Gloomintrolls are a very great sounding dark ambient/drone band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Nebula Of Trollsorrow". RECOMMENDED.
