United Gods are a band from Hungary that plays a mixture of noise, industrial, dark ambient and drone and this is a review of their live 2012 album "Live In Budapest" which was released by Kalpamantra.
Drum programming is all slow to mid paced beats which bring an industrial feeling to the music, while the sound effects being in harsh noise elements to the music as where as adding influences from other forms of electronic music, as for the synths they bring a very dark and ambient/drone feeling to the music.
Vocals and traditional instruments are mostly absent from the music except for a few demonic sounding growls that bring a black metal feeling to the music as well as a brief use of spoken word parts while the rest of this recording being all instrumental in addition the songs are very long and epic and length, as for the production on this recording which was all recorded live in 3 different locations it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion United Gods are a very great sounding hybrid of electronic, industrial, noise, dark ambient and drone and if you are a fan of this style of music, you should check this band out. RECOMMENDED BUY.
