Pornostroika Dadaifi are a band from Greece that plays a mixture of industrial, metal, hardcore and cyber punk and this is a review of their self released 2014 album "Weimar Helldisco".
Military style marching music starts off the album along with a more modern atmosphere which leads up to epic sounding synths and spoken word parts being added onto the recording and after a couple of minutes distorted yet melodic guitars are added into the music and on the second track industrial starts becoming more of a part of the bands musical style.
The music on the recording is very experimental and the industrial elements are the main focus of the bands musical style and at times you can hear small amounts of melodic singing in certain sections of the recording and on the title track elements of metal are finally added into the music along with one of the tracks bringing in a black metal scream and towards the end you can hear some neo classical influenced synths being used on one of the songs.
Pornostroika Dadaifi creates a very militant approach to industrial/cyber punk as will as adding in some metal influences to create a very original song, the production has a very dark sound to it while the lyrics are written in Greek and cover Dadaism, Science Fiction and Class War themes.
In my opinion Pornostroika Dadaifi are a very great sounding mixture of industrial, cyber punk, hardcore and metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band and the album is available for free download. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Weimar Helldisco" "Der Marsch Ins Drittle Reich" and "March In Line". 8 out of 10.
