Entrail is a solo project from Olympia, Washington that plays a mixture of experimental and drone and this is a review of her 2019 album "Eater Of Starlight" which was released by Scry Recordings.
Violins start off the album and also gives the music more of an avant garde feeling while the songs also incorporate a great amount of atmospheric sounding drones. Bass guitars can also be heard in some parts of the recording as well as the tracks also adding in a decent amount of spoken word parts.
A great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while synths are also added into some parts of the music. When clean vocals are utilized they also give the songs more of an ethereal feeling along some tracks also adding experimental soundscapes onto the recording and as the album progresses electronic music sounds and clean playing can also be heard briefly and all of the songs also sound very different from each other.
Entrial plays a musical style that takes experimental and drone and mixes them together to create a sound of her own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover darkness, nature and dream themes.
In my opinion Entrail is a very great sounding mixture of experimental and drone and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dark Moon" and "Dust Of Dreamers". 8 out of 10.
