Svart1 is a solo artist from Italy that plays a mixture of noise, dark ambient and industrial and this is a review of his 2019 album "Monotono" which was released by Mask Of The Slave.
Ambient style synths and soundscapes start off the album while noises and drones can also be heard in some parts of the music. The songs also add in a great amount of programmed beats along with all of the tracks being instrumentals and at times the music also has its experimental and avant garde moments.
Militant beats can also be heard in the background briefly while field recordings are also used quite a bit throughout the recording. A great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length as well as all of the tracks sounding very different from each other and as the album progresses a touch of industrial and tribal beats can also be heard.
Svart1 plays a musical style that takes ambient, drone, noise, industrial and field recordings and mixes them together to create a sound of his own while also keeping everything instrumental and the production also sounds very dark.
In my opinion Svart1 is a very great sounding mixture of ambient, drone, noise, industrial and field recordings and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo artist. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "1" "4" "7' and "9". 8 out of 10.
