Orchestre De Trenos are a band from Ukraine that plays a mixture of symphonic metal and classical and this is a review of their self released 2013 album "Critique Of Musical Reason".
Drums range from slow to mid paced playing with no fast drumming or blast beats being present on this recording, while the violins, organs and orchestra bring a very symphonic and classical music sound to the album, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced heavy metal riffs, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding guitar solos and leads that combine metal and classical together to create s sound of their own, as for the acoustic guitars they use finger picking and full chords to enhance the neo -classical elements of the album.
Vocals and songwriting are all absent from this recording with the music being all instrumental, while the concept of the album revolves around a metal symphony, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy, dark and professional sound with some of the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion Orchestre De Trenos are a very great sounding hybrid of symphonic metal and classical and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Symphony # 1 LIBERTAS" "Old Saga" and "Sounds Of Silence". RECOMMENDED BUY.
