Silent Carrion/Suprematism EP I (Iupiter)/2012 EP Review

\  Silent  Carrion  are  a  band  from  Italy  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  a  musical  style  on  this  recording  I  would  describe  as  being  dark  ambient/noise  with  some  drone,  doom  and  black  metal  influences  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2012  ep  "Supremamatism  EP  I  (Iupiter)".

Drums  range  from  slow, mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some blast  beats  being  present  on  this  recording,  while  the  synths  and  sound  effects  bring  elements  of  noise,  industrial,  avant  garde  and  experimental  to  the  guitar,  as  for  the  rhythm  guitars  when  they  are  utilized  are  all  slow  to  mid  paced  drone/doom  metal  riffs  that  utilize  some  black  metal  and  noise  influences.

Vocals  and  song  writing  are  mostly  absent  from  this  recording  except  for  some  spoken  word  samples  and  black  metal  screams,  while  the  song  themes  cover  Occultism,  Darkness,  Suicide  and  Violence,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  one  of t he  songs  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Silent  Carrion  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  experimental,  noise,  dark  ambient,  drone  and  doom  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Malphas"  and  "The  Ground  Seems  Hollow".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
