Legion Of Andromeda are a band from Japan that plays doom/death metal with elements of industrial and black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Iron Scorn" which will be released in August by Crucial Blast.
A very dark old school doom/death metal sound starts off the album along with some growling vocals and elements of industrial and the vocals also add in a touch of black metal at times and all of the music is very heavily rooted in the early to mid 90's style of extreme metal and some of the tracks are long and epic in length.
All of the drum beats are programmed and some of the songs also bring in elements of drone and all of the songs also stick to either a slow or mid paced musical direction with no fast parts ever being present in any of the tracks and the whole album also remains heavy from beginning to ending of the recording.
Legion Of Andromeda plays a style of doom/death metal that is very old school and also mixes it in with the 90's industrial metal sound and a touch of black metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion Legion Of Andromeda are a very great sounding industrial doom/death metal band with a touch of black metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cosmo Hammer" "Scourge Of Pestilence" and "Fist Of Hammurabi". 8 out of 10.
