Elven Sorrow are a solo project from Spain that plays a mixture of dark ambient and dungeon synth and this is a review of his self released 2020 album ''A Rise And Fall To Be Forgotten".
Nature orientated soundscapes start off the album along with some dungeon style synths that also use a variety of many different sounding keys. The track is also over 40 minutes in length while also adding in elements of dark ambient and all of the music is also instrumental and the music also captures the atmosphere of a fantasy soundtrack .
At times the music also gets very tragic sounding while also capturing the atmosphere of black metal at times. Some of the music also adds touch of neo classical and synths are the only instruments present on this recording.
Elven Sorrow plays a musical style that takes dark ambient and dungeon synth and mixes them together to create a sound of his own while keeping everything instrumental along with the song themes narrating the life of a nameless warrior in the style of a myth to force reflection upon all the legends and deeds lost in time and the production sounds dark.
In my opinion Elven Sorrow are a very great sounding mixture of dark ambient and dungeon synth and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. 8 out of 10.
