Operation Suffocate are a duo from the United States that plays a mixture of harsh noise and industrial metal and this is a review of their 2025 album "Feudal Age" which was released by The Doorway To Label.
Harsh noises start off the album along with some industrial style beats which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs. Vocals are a mixture of growls and high pitched screams while all of the tracks are also very long and epic in length and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Some of drum beats are also programmed mixed in with some real drums while melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing at times. Synths are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording along with the slow riffs also adding in elements of doom metal and the whole recording sticks to a slower direction.
Operation Suffocate plays a musical style that takes harsh noise, industrial and doom metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover Feudal Japan seen through the eyes of the Samurai and Warrior Class.
In my opinion Operation Suffocate are a very great sounding mixture of harsh noise, industrial and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "No Life" and "The Last Fight". 8 out of 10.
