Alessio Dutto are a solo project from Italy that plays a mixture of dark ambient, drone and minimalism and this is a review of his 2024 album "Dentro" which was released by Momentarily Records.
Atmospheric sounding drones start off the album while the synths also add in a great amount of dark ambient elements. Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with the music also adding in a lot of minimalist touches, all of the recording also sticks to an instrumental direction
One song also introduces pipe organs and programmed beats onto the album while each track also sounds very different from each other and a lot of the music also brings in more of an improvised atmosphere.
Alessio Dutto plays a musical style that takes dark ambient, drone and minimalism and mixes them together to create a sound of his own as well as keeping everything instrumental while the production sounds very dark and lo-fi.
In my opinion Alessio Dutto are a very great sounding mixture of dark ambient, drone and minimalism and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUD E "II" and "IV". 8 out of 10.
