Andreas Ronnquist is a solo artist from Sweden that plays a mixture of dark ambient and guitar based drones and this is a review of his 2025 album "From Pure Air" which was released by Momentarily Records.
Nature sounds and field recordings start off the album along with some dark ambient style soundscapes a few seconds alter. Both of the tracks are also over 19 minutes in length while the guitar sounds also add in elements of drone as well as all of the music also stinking to an instrumental direction.
All of the music is also improvised while synths are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording. After awhile the music also gets more diverse sounding along with the second track also adding in a different style from the first song.
Andreas Ronnquist plays a musical style that takes dark ambient and mixes it with guitar orientated drones to create a sound of his own as well as keeping everything instrumental while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Andreas Ronnquist is a very great sounding mixture of dark ambient and guitar based drone and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "I". 8 out of 10.
