Laedis are a music project from Vancouver B.C, Canada that plays a mixture of power electronics and death industrial and this is a review of their 2019 ep "Purification Ritual" which was released by Nailed Nazarene Industries.
Distorted sounding drones start off the ep while some bass guitars can also be heard in the music at times. After the intro the music also goes into more of a brutal death industrial direction while also introducing elements of harsh noise and power electronics into the music and one of the tracks is also very long and epic in length.
All of the tracks sound very different from each other which also gives the music more diversity along with most of the tracks also being instrumental. One track also introduces police sirens onto the recording and at times the songs also evoke a very primitive sounding atmosphere and towards the end a brief use of operatic female vocals can also be heard.
Laedis plays a musical style that takes death industrial, power electronics and harsh noise and mixes them together to create a sound of their own while the production also sounds very dark.
In my opinion Laedis are a very great sounding mixture of death industrial, power electronics and harsh noise and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this musical project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dark Forces" and "Witches Revenge". 8 out of 10.
