Ornamentos del Miedo are a solo project from Spain that plays an atmospheric form of funeral doom metal and this is a review of his 2019 album "Este no es tu hogar" which was released by Solitude Productions.
Atmospheric sounding synths start off the album which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the music at times. The slower riffs are also very heavily rooted in funeral doom metal while the solos and leads are also done in a very dark yet melodic style and when screams are utilized they also add in a touch of black metal.
All of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the riffs also add in a great amount of dark sounding melodies. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them along with the music also adding in touches of melodic death metal as well as some of the vocals also adding in a small amount of growls and all of the songs also stick to a slower direction.
Ornamentos del Miedo plays a style of funeral doom metal that is very slow, atmospheric, dark and heavy sounding as well as adding in touches of black and melodic death metal to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover dark and depressive themes.
In my opinion Ornamentos del Miedo are a very great sounding atmospheric and melodic funeral doom metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Este no es tu hogar" and "Fragil". 8 out of 10.
