This is another review of a recording from Fleshpress which continues their black metal influenced approach to sludge/doom metal with the album being called "III - The Art Of Losing All" which was released by Kult Of Nihilow.
"Cold Dawn/ Reborn" opens up the album with heavy bass and clean guitars and a minute later drums start to kick in as well as the guitars getting more distorted sounding, after a couple of minutes melodic vocals make their way into the song which also leads to the music going into a heavier direction along with some high pitched screams and as time goes on buy the guitar riffing starts getting a lot more melodic and during the last minute the music goes into a faster direction.
"All Hope Lost/Becoming Soil" begins with heavy guitar riffs and distorted amp noises and a minute later drums start to kick in as well as some psychedelic sound effects shortly after that, as the song moves on high pitched screams finally make their presence known and a few minutes later the bass guitars, amp noises and psychedelic sounds take over the album and a few minutes later it gets heavy again along with a black metal influenced atmosphere before going into a cleaner direction and adding in spoken word parts.
Song lyrics cover misanthropy, agony and distrust, while the production has a very strong, powerful, dark and heavy sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording as well as both songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Fleshpress and if you are a fan of doom/sludge metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Cold Dawn/ Reborn". RECOMMENDED BUY.
