This is a review of another recording from Fleshpress which continues their black metal influenced sludge/doom metal with the ep being called "Rebuild/Crumble" and was released by Kult Of Nihilow in the year of 2010.
"Rebuild" opens up with distorted amp sounds and experimental sound effects and a minute later bass guitars and drums make their way into the song as well as a small amount of clean guitars before going into a heavy doom metal direction along with some high pitched screams and as the song moves on their is a brief use of stoner rock style guitar leads.
"Crumble" begins with some dark sound effects and a few seconds later drum beats kick in along with some clean guitar playing shortly after that and as time goes on by the guitar riffs get more heavier and melodic sounding, halfway through the song high pitched screams finally make their presence known in the music and during the last minute avant garde elements are added in.
Song lyrics cover misanthropy, anger and disgust, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and dark sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording as well as both of the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Fleshpress and if you are a fan of sludge/doom metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Rebuild". RECOMMENDED BUY.
