Swollen Organs are a solo project from New York that plays a mixture of death industrial, power electronics and harsh noise and this is a review of his 2016 album "Feelings About Gender Guilt Over Time" which will be released on May 13th by Annihilvs Power Electronix.
Dark soundscapes start off the album along with some drones that also gives the music an avant garde feeling and after a few seconds spoken word parts make their presence known on the recording and after awhile the power electronics start adding in more harsh noises and some demonic voices can also be heard at times.
You can also hear elements of grind and noisecore in some of the harsh noises and some songs also bring in influences from the darker and more underground style of death industrial and all of the songs sound different from each other while some tracks are very long and epic in length and there are also some angry vocals also being utilized briefly.
Swollen Organs plays a musical style that takes death industrial, power electronics and harsh noise and mixes them together to create a musical style of their own, the production sounds very dark and raw while the song themes focus on sexuality and misanthropy.
In my opinion Swollen Organs are a very great sounding mixture of death industrial, harsh noise and power electronics and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Do You Know Entertainment" "Masked Anonymous Negotiations" "Ongoing Resentment Id Endured" and "GUILTY". 8 out of 10.
