Humanfobia are a duo from Chile that plays a mixture of experimental, noise, witchhouse and dark ambient and this is a review of their self released 2019 ep "Phi".
Dark soundscpaes start off the ep along with the music also getting very experimental and avant garde sounding at times. When synths are utilized they bring in elements of dark ambient as well as some touches of noise music also being used at times and the female vocals gives the songs more of a ritualistic feeling.
Elements of witchhouse are also used quite a bit throughout the recording while the music also gets very atmospheric sounding at times. All of the songs also sound very different from each other along with the songs also capturing the atmosphere of either a horror movie or a nightmare and a couple of the tracks are also re-mixes.
Humanfobia plays a musical style that takes experimental, noise, witchhouse and dark ambient and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover the ghost legends of Thailand and Laos.
In my opinion Humanfobia are a very great sounding mixture of experimental, noise, witchhouse and dark ambient and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mae Nak" and "Phi Pop". 8 out of 10..
