Peord is a solo project from France that plays an experimental form of dungeon synth and this is a review of his self released 2019 ep "Captive'.
Avant garde style soundscapes start off the ep along with some atmospheric sounding synths a few seconds later which also bring in elements of dark ambient and dungeon synth as well as using a variety of many different sounding keys and some of t he tracks are very long and epic in length.
At times the music also gets very experimental sounding while spoken word samples can also be heard briefly. Most of the tracks are instrumentals along with all of the songs sounding very different from each other, field recordings can also be heard briefly and at times the music also captures a lo-fi atmosphere.
Peord plays a style of dungeon synth that is very experimental diverse while keeping most of the music in an instrumental direction and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Peord are a very great sounding experimental dungeon synth solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Captive I" and "Captive IV". 8 out of 10.
