This is a review of a collaboration album between Italy's M.D.M.A feat. The Crippler and Petrolio which shows them mixing harsh noise, drone, minimalism and ambient and the album is called "Back On Earth Gisas" which was released as a joint effort between DioDrone, Dischi Devastini, Sulla Facia, Sezione Aerea and Spheredelics.
Post industrial style soundscapes start off the album along with some programmed beats a few seconds later. Aggressive sounding vocals are also added into some parts of the recording while minimalist style drones are also utilized on most of the songs and a great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
When synths are utilized they also bring in elements of ambient while a great portion of the tracks are also instrumentals. Harsh noises are also added into certain sections of the album along with each song also sounding very different from each other as well as sone track also introducing spoken word parts onto the recording.
M.D.M.A feat. The Crippler and Petrolio team up together and mix harsh noise, drone, industrial, ambient and minimalism together to create a very diverse recording while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion M.D.M.A feat. The Crippler and Petrolio bring in a great mixture of harsh noise, industrial, drone, minimalism and ambient and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this album.RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Back On Earth Gisas!!!" "Teaching In Noise" and "Francis!!!"> 8 out of 10.
