Natura Est are an international duo with members from the United Kingdom and Germany that plays a mixture of ritual, dark ambient and drone and this is a review of their 2021 album "Real Seasons" which was released by Cyclic Law.
Dark ambient soundscapes start off the album while synths are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording. Atmospheric sounding drones are also added into certain sections of the songs along with all of the tracks also being instrumentals and a couple of the songs are also very long and epic in length.
At times the music also gets very ritualistic sounding while each song also sounds very different from each other. The electronic sounds also enhance the ritualistic side of the music along with some songs also adding in more of a meditative atmosphere as well as one song also mixing in the voices of lost souls.
Natura Est plays a musical style that takes dark ambient, drone and ritual and mixes them together to create a sound of their own as well as keeping everything instrumental. The production sounds very dark while the songs themes focus on Unspoken Gods, nature and The Cycles Of The Earth.
In my opinion Antura Est are a very great sounding mixture of dark ambient, drone and ritual and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rebirth Of The Solar God" and "The Turning Wheel". 8 out of 10.
