Low Texture are a trio from Greece that plays a minimalist form of post rock and this is a review of their 2022 album "Improliving" which was released by Submersion Records.
Clean playing starts off the album while also introducing elements of post rock onto the recording. Synths can also be heard at times along with a great portion of the tracks also being very long and epic in length as well as the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized.
Vocals are mostly done in more of a clear and clean direction while the songs also mix in a good amount of minimalist structures. On some of the tracks the guitars also add in some heavier riffing along with each song also going into a different direction and the whole also also sticks to a slower tempo, whispered vocals can also be heard briefly.
Low Texture plays a musical style that takes minimalism and post rock and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion Low Texture are a very great sounding minimalist post rock trio and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Misleading Grey" "I Never See" and "Low". 8 out of 10.
