Banished Souls ov Forbidden Desire are a band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada that plays a very experimental form of music that also has some black and death metal influences and this is a review of their 2014 album "Land Full Ov Freedom".
Programmed drum beats, spoken word parts, guitars and avant garde sounds start off the album and the guitars also bring in some melodic leads along with the heaviness of metal in the riffing and they also add in some saxophones, after awhile acoustic guitars can be heard in certain sections of the recording.
Clean singing can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the later tracks see the band adding in some folk instruments along with their heavy and experimental sound and some of the later tracks sees the band adding in some elements of blues, harsh noise, industrial and indie rock and there are also a few remixes on the recording along with session wok from Suburban Coconuts and Lanza Manaza, towards the end of the album one of the tracks brings in a brief use of demonic vocals.
Banished Souls ov Forbidden Desitre creates some music that is very hard to categorize and you can hear a variety of many different musical genres presented throughout the recording, the production has a very dark and raw sound while the lyrics cover the United States, political and humorous themes.
In my opinion Banished Souls ov Forbidden Desire are a very great sounding experimental band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Invade Us With Your FreeDoom" "The Crossing Ov The State Line" "Pighead For President" and "Peace And Harmony". 8 out of 10.
