This is another review of a recording from The House which shows the band going for a more drone musical direction with the album being self released in 2012 and called "Pre-Death".
Water sounds start off the album along with some ambient music elements and after a couple of minutes drones are added into the recording and after the first song the band brings in another long and epic in length track which sees more elements of drone and noise being added into the music.
With this recording drone is the main element in the bands musical sound as well as every track being all instrumental and they also bring in a good amount of dark ambient sounds along with a brief use of synths and there are no traditional instruments being present on this recording.
The House stay away from the funeral doom metal and sludge elements that where present on the first release and creates a more instrumental ambient drone sound this time around and the production sounds very dark and raw sounding.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from The House and if you are a fan of ambient drone, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Violence" and "Second Sighting". 8 out of 10.
