This is the third review of a recording from Scalk which continues the experimental, ambient, drone and noise mixture of previous releases and the album was self released in 2016 and called "Alomorfia".
Field recordings start off the album along with some soundscapes making their presence known a few seconds later and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and after awhile elements of noise are added onto the recording while the drones are done in a very distorted fashion and the music also incorporates a lot of elements of dark ambient along with some touches of noise while also keeping everything instrumental.
On this recording Scalk remains true to the experimental, drone, ambient and noise mixture of previous releases and also continues to the instrumental approach and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Scalk and if you are a fan ox experimental, ambient, drone and noise, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Alva" and "Homuncalo". 8 out of 10.
