This is the final review of a recording from Portugal's Scalk which shows the music returning back to more of an ambient/drone style and the album was self released in 2017 and called "NodJonzot".
Field recordings start off the album along with some soundscapes and drones a few seconds later and both of the tracks are very long and epic in length as well as being all instrumental and after awhile the music gets more avant garde and experimental and elements of noise can also be heard at times along with both of the tracks being all instrumental.
On this recording Sclak remains back to more of an instrumental ambient/drone direction while some noise, experimental and soundscape elements are still utilized and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Scalk and if you are a fan of ambient, drone and soundscape, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Nid". 8 out of 10.
