Many Blessings are a solo project from Denver, Colorado that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a mixture of harsh noise and drone and this is a review of his 2020 album "Emanation Body" which was released by Translation Loss Records.
Programmed beats start off the album while atmospheric sounding drones are also a very huge part of the recording. Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the music also adds in a decent amount of experimental and avant garde elements and most of the tracks are also instrumentals.
Female vocals can also be heard briefly while elements of harsh noise and power electronics can also be heard in some parts of the recording. Tortured voices can also be heard briefly along with all of the tracks also sounding very different from each other and when screams are utilized briefly they also add in a touch of black metal as well as the music also serving as a soundtrack for a terrifying nightmare.
On this recording Many Blessings goes for more of an atmospheric drone style as well as keeping some of the harsh noise elements of his previous releases and the production also sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Many Blessings and if you are a fan of harsh noise and drone, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Invocation" and "Harm Signal". 8 out of 10.
