Italy's Dperd have returned with a new recording which continues the atmospheric and ethereal style of darkwave from their previous releases and the album is called "Allein" and was released by My Kingdom Music.
Clean guitars start off the album while all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them. Tragic sounding keyboards are also a very huge part of the album while the music is very heavily rooted in the darkwave style along with the clean vocals also giving the music more of an ethereal feeling.
Elements of gothic rock can also be heard in the songs while the keyboards also gives the songs more of an atmospheric and also uses a variety of many different sounding keys. All of the tracks also sound very different from each other as well as the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized. some of the riffing also adds in a small amount of distortion and the album closes with a cover of Luigi Tenco's "Un Giorno Dopo L' Altro".
On this recording Dperd remains true to the ethereal and atmospheric style of darkwave that was established on previous releases. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Italian and cover moods and feelings themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Dperd and if you are a fan of atmospheric and ethereal darkwave, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Alein" "No Way" "Sveglia" and "Bipolare". 8 out of 10.
