Peter Bjargo is a solo artist from Sweden that plays a very atmospheric form of dark ambient and this is a review of his 2019 album "Structures And Downfall" which was released by Cyclic Law.
Atmospheric soundscapes and clean playing starts off the album while the synths also bring in elements of ambient. When clean vocals are utilized they also add in a touch of goth rock as well the music also adding in some touches of folk and neo-classical and all of the tracks sound very different from each other.
At times the music also captures a very sorrowful atmosphere along with some tracks also introducing percussion's onto the recording. Some of the songs also are instrumentals as well as the music also getting more diverse as the album progresses and at times the recording also has its melancholic moments.
Peter Bjargo plays a style of dark ambient that is very guitar orientated while also having touches of goth rock as well as keeping the synths the genre is known for. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover dark and depressive themes.
In my opinion Peter Bjargo is a very great sounding atmospheric dark ambient solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Inner Cathedral" "When Thoughts Become Your Enemy" and "Winter Song". 8 out of 10.
