Agua De Pozza is a solo artist from Chile that plays a mixture of experimental, improv and free jazz and this is a review of his life 2019 album "Quimera" which was released by Attenuation Circuit.
Saxophones start off the album and they also introduce elements of jazz onto the recording while also being the lead instrument on the recording. Drums are also brought in as the second main instrument on the album and most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length and most of the tracks are also instrumentals.
You can also hear a great amount of variety in the way the saxophone is preformed while also adding in some free form and avant garde touches. Aggressive chanting and screaming vocals can also be heard briefly along with the music also adding in an improv yet ritualistic and shamanistic atmosphere at times and all of the tracks also sound very different from each other and as th e album progresses the music also starts getting more experimental.
Agua De Pozza plays a musical style that takes experimental, improv and free jazz and mixes them together to create a sound of his own while also recording all the tracks live and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Agua De Pozza is a very great sounding mixture of experimental, improv and free jazz and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mitote" and "Quimera". 8 out of 10.
