Illa Belorukov & Lauri Hyvarinen are a duo from Russia and Finland that plays a mixture of experimental, noise, improv and free jazz and this is a review of their 2019 album "Yesterday by Chance" which was released by Attenuation Circuit.
Field recordings start off the album along with some objects being used as instruments which also gives the recording more of an avant garde feeling. Both of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while electronics sounds are also utilized at times and also takes the music into an experimental direction.
All of the music is also done in a very improv style while elements of noise can also be heard at times. most of the music is instrumental along with some saxophones being utilized in some parts of the recording and they also add in touches of jazz music, background voices can also be heard briefly and as the album progresses a small amount of electric guitars can also be heard.
Illa Belorukov & Lauri Hyvarinen tema up together and plays a musical style that takes experimental, noise, improv and free jazz and mixes them together to create a sound of their own while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Illa Belorukov & Lauri Hyvarinen are a very great sounding mixture of experimental, noise, improv and jazz and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Post-Humanist Melancholy". 8 out of 10.
