Evaporates Sores are a band from the United States that plays a music of industrial noise, power electronics, sludge, doom and death metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "Ulcerous Dimensions" which was released by Sentient Ruin Laboratories.
Harsh power electronics start off the album before going into a heavier sludge metal direction while also mixing in elements of doom metal. Vocals are mostly death metal growls along with some grim screams that also add in a touch of black metal and dark sounding melodies are also added into some of the riffing.
Elements of industrial and noise are also added into some parts of the recording while the solos and leads are also done in a very dark, distorted yet melodic style. When the music speeds up a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can also be heard along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them, the songs also have their cavernous and dissonant moments.
Evaporates Sores plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in sludge, doom and death metal which they also mix in with elements of industrial noise and power electronics to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics cover lucid nightmares and esoteric themes.
In my opinion Evaporates Sores are a very great sounding mixture of sludge, doom, death metal, industrial noise and power electronics and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band.
