Gloomstone is a solo project from Indiana that plays a mixture of experimental, electronic and witchhouse and this is a review of his 2019 album "I Heard You Where Suffering And I Smiled" which was released by Maaninen Henki Records.
Witchhouse style beats start off the ep while the music also mixes in some elements of tap metal. All of the drum beats are also programmed while the synths also add in touches of electronic music along with the distorted sounds also giving the music more of an industrial edge when they are utilized, the music also has its experimental moments as well as always sticking to an instrumental direction and all of the tracks also sound very different from each other. and spoken word parts are also added on the closing track
Gloomstone plays a musical style that takes experimental, trap metal, electronic and witchhouse and mixes them together to create a sound of his own as well as keeping everything instrumental while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Gloomstone are a very great sounding mixture of experimental, electronic and witchhouse and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. 8 out of 10.
