Dame Silu de Mordomoire are a solo project from France that plays a mixture of darkwave, dungeon synth and neo classical and this is a review of her 2020 album "A World Of Shadows" which was released by Naturmacht Productions.
Whispered vocals start off the album along with some synths a few second later that also add elements of dungeon synth onto the recording while also using a variety of many different sounding keys. A great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length and when vocals are utilized they are also done in a very operatic and ethereal style.
The songs also bring in elements of darkwave and neo classical while also capturing a very melancholic atmosphere. Programmed beats can also be heard on some of the tracks along with the music also adding in some touches of medieval music along with all of the songs also sounding very different from each other, spoken word parts can also be heard briefly.
Dame Silu de Mordomoire plays a musical style that takes darkwave, dungeon synth and neo classical and mixes them together to create a sound of her own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover darkness, nature and melancholy themes.
In my opinion Dame Silu de Mordomoire are a very great sounding mixture of darkwave, dungeon synth and neo classical and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Alone Among The Misty Hills" "Kingdom Of Liars" and "Snowfall". 8 out of 10.
