Sattyg are a solo project from Sweden that plays dungeon synth and this is a review of his 2029 album "Legends Part 1" which was re-issued in 2020 by War Productions.
Dungeon synth style keyboards start off the album while also bringing in a variety of many different sounding keys. At times the music also captures the atmosphere of a classic fantasy movie soundtrack along with all of the songs also sounding very different from each other as well as all of the music also sticking to an instrumental direction.
The keyboards also add in a decent amount of melodies while the music also has its atmospheric moments. Programmed beats can also be heard on some of the tracks along with the keyboards also adding in a small amount of dark soundscapes at times as well as the music also having its medieval moments.
Sattyg plays a style of dungeon synth that is very dark and atmospheric sounding as well as always sticking to an instrumental direction. The production sounds very dark while the song themes are based upon 'The Fellowship Of The Ring' by J.R.R Tolkien.
In my opinion Sattyg are a very great sounding dungeon synth solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dance Of The Elves" "Across The Mountain" and "The Escape". 8 out of 10.
