This is a review of another recording from Gamardah Fungus which shows them continuing their mixture of dark ambient, harsh noise, drone, jazz, blues, sludge and funeral doom metal with the album being released by Turbinicarpus in 2010 and called "Two Hemispheres, Two Worlds".
People noises start off the album along with some clean guitars a few seconds later along with some distorted and melodic guitar leads which leads up to some heavy guitar riffs that combine drone and funeral doom metal together and they also bring in a good mixture of both clean and heavy parts.
On the second track more ambient style noises are added into the music along with some melodic Turkish style chanting and just like with the last album each song is very long and epic in length and sounds different from each other with the 3rd track bringing in elements of jazz music which they also mix in with the heavier side of their musical sound and the following song sees more harsh noises being mixed in with some melodic guitar leads which also bring in elements of blues rock, on the last track melodic chants and church choirs are added into the music.
Gamardah Fungus changes there sound quite a bit on this album and while it still has its drone, sludge and funeral doom moments it also has a relaxed smooth jazz atmosphere at times along with a great amount of drones and noises and also on this recording there are some melodic vocals being used briefly and the production has a very dark, raw and heavy sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Gamardah Fungus and if you are looking for something dark, evil and experimental, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kurtulus" and "Black Ode To White Cherub". 8 out of 10.
