Spaghetti Blacc/Techniques N' Tactics/Black Ski Industries/2024 Full length Review

 

  This  is  the  final  Review  of  a  recording  from  new  York's  Spaghetti  Blacc  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  experimental,  noise,  metal  and hip  hop  and  the  album  was  released  in  2024  and  called  "Techniques  N'  Tactics"  which  was  released  by  Black  Ski  Industries.

  Harsh  noises,  electric  guitars  and  drum  beats  start  off  the  album  while  a  couple  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  Some  of  the  drums  also  add  in  touches  of  free  jazz  along  with  the  music  also  getting  very  experimental  and  avant  garde  sounding  at  times  and  some  of  the  songs  are  also  instrumentals.

  Guitar  solos  and  leads  can  also  be  heard  briefly  while  a  lot  of  the  first  half  of  the  recording  is  also  improvised.  Harsh  screams  are  also  introduced  on  one  of  the  tracks  along  with  one  song  also  adding  in  some  ritualistic  style  chants  and  operatic  vocals  and  some  of  the  music  also  mixes  in  elements  of  world  music.

  Percussion  style  instruments  are  also  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  album  along  with  a  lot  of  the  tracks  also  sounding  very  different  from  each  other  The  second  half  of  the  album  also  adds  in  touches  of  funk  music  and  goes  for  more  of  a  hip  hop  direction  which  also  mixes  in  a  lot  of  raps  and  they  also  change  the  pace  by  mixing  in  a  small  amount  of  Gregorian  chants  on  one  song  and  another  experimental  track  before  going  back  into  rap  mode.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  occultism,  dark,  political  and  philosophical  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Spaghetti  Blacc  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  experimental,  noise,  metal  and  hip  hop,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Devil  Auction"  'EMF  Essence"  "13  Years"  and  "Inter-Proxyma  Quotient".  8  out  of  10.

Spaghetti Blacc/Cave Devil Cabalgata Powder/Black Ski Weekend Industries/2024 Full length Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  New  York's  Spaghetti  Blacc  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  hip  hop,  experimental  and  noise  and  the  album  was  released  in  2024  by  Blacc  Ski  Industries  and  called  "Cave  Devil  Cabalgata  Powder".

  Industrial  style  beats  and  choirs  start  off  the  album  while  also  adding  in  an  experimental  approach  before  adding  in  hip  hip  style  beats,  synths  and  raps.  Samples  are  also  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording.

  A  later  track  shoes  the  music  going  into  more  of  an  experimental  and  avant  garde  direction  while  also  adding  in  some  noises  before  going  back  to  a  hip  hop  direction  which  they  keep  for  the  rest  of  the album.  

  On  this  recording  Spaghetti  Blacc  focuses  more  on  an  east  coast  rap  and  hip  hop  style  with  only  a  small  amount  of  noise  and  experimental  touches.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  politics,  gang  life  and  eastern  religions  and  philosophies.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Spaghetti  Blacc  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  hip  hop,  experimental  and  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Grand  Scheme"  and  "(Identified  By)  Sublime  Transgressions  &  Subliminal  Essence".  8 out  of  10.

Spaghetti Blacc/Gemological Profile/Black Ski Weekend Industries/2023 Full Length Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  an  album  from  New  York's  solo  project  Spaghetti  Blacc  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  goes  for  a  mixture  of  hip  hop,  experimental,  harsh  noise  and  metal  and  the  album  was  released  in  2023  and  called  "Gemological  Profile"  which  was  released  by  Blacc  Ski  Industries.

  Drum  beats  and  avant  garde  sounds  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  raps  and  hip  hop  style  vocals  a  few  seconds  later.  Synths  are  also  added  on  most  of  the  tracks  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  a  good  amount  of  samples  and  the  first  half  of  the  recording  sticks  to  more  of  a  rap  direction.

  As  the  recording  progresses  the  music  starts  getting  more  experimental  while  also  adding  in  more  heavier  direction  which  also  brings  in  elements  of  extreme  metal,  Distorted  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  riffs  and  harsh  noises  are  added  on  a  later track.

  On  this  recording  Spaghetti  Blacc  focuses  more  on  a  rap  and  hip  hop  style  on  the  beginning  tracks  and  goes  into  more  of  an  experimental,  noise  and  extreme  metal  direction  towards  the  end  to  create  a  diverse  releases.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  politics,  religion  and  philosophical  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Spaghetti  Blacc  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  rap,  hip  hop,  experimental,  harsh  noise  and  extreme  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pigeon's  Blood"  and  "Immuniversal  Atrophy".  8  out  of  10.

Spaghetti Blacc/Carnival Of Redacted Sciences/Blacc Ski Weekend Industries/2019 Full Length Review

  New  York's  Spaghetti  Blacc  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  brings  in  a  mixture  of   classic  metal,  rap,  world  and  electronic  music  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2019  album  "Carnival  of  Redacted  Sciences"  which  was  released  by  Blacc  Ski  Weekend  Industries.

  Hip  hop  music  sounds  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  rap  style  vocals  a  few  seconds  later.  At  times  the music  also  gets  very  experimental  and  avant  garde  sounding  along  with  some  of  the  tracks  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  Female  vocals  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording.

  Elements  of  ethnic and  world  music  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  songs  that  are  presented  on  the  recording.  One  track  also  introduces  electronic  music  sounds  and  programmed  beats  into  the  music  which  also  gives  the  songs  a  lot  more  variety  and  as  the  album  progresses  touches  of  ambient  are  also  added  into  the  music.

  Most  of  the  songs  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  and  when  guitars  are  finally  added  into  the  music  they  bring  in  more  metal  influences. What  makes  this  album  different  from  previous  releases  is  that  the  harsh  noise  elements  are  absent  from  the  recording  and  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  instrumentals.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  philosophical, political  and  occult  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Spaghetti  Blacc  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  metal,  rap,  experimental,  world  and  electronic  music,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Location  On"  "Omega  Unorthodox"  "King  Midas"  and  "Distant  Solicitations  Of  Idolatry".  8  out  of  10.
