  Filth  Colossus  are  a  solo  project  from  Italy  that  plays  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  harsh  noise  and  power  electronics  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  self  released  2025  album  "Per  Negationem".

  Harsh  noises  and  power  electronics  start  off  the  album  while  also  adding  in  a  lot  of  programmed  beats.  All  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  the  music  also  capturing  the  atmosphere  of  a  horror  film  soundtrack  and  most  of  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  very  apocalyptic  atmosphere

  Synths  are  utilized  at  times  mixed  in  with  the  electronic  sounds  while  the  music  also  brings  in  the  brutality  of  death  industrial.  A  lot  of  the  music  also  captures  an  improvised  atmosphere  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  harsh  screams   as  well  as  some  spoken  words  also  being  used  on  a  couple  of  songs  and  each  track  also  sounds  very  different  from  each  other 

  Filth  Colossus  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  death  industrial,  power  electronics  and  harsh  noise  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  hos  own.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  son  themes  are  inspired  by  the  writings  of  P.  Mainlander,  H.P  Lovecraft,  J.  Lacan,  A.  Caraco,  P.P  Pasolini,  R.  Negarestani,  and  T.  Ligotti.

  The  Atrocity  Circus  are  a  duo  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  a  mixture  of  harsh  noise,  death  industrial  and  power  electronics  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2025  album  "Malpractice"  which  was  released  by  Cursed  Monk  Records.

  Industrial  style  beats  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  high  pitched  screams  a  few  seconds  later  before  adding  in  some  power  electronics.  Harsh  noises  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  synths  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  and  each  song  also  sounds  very  different  from  each  other.

  Atmospheric  soundscapes  are  also  used  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  some  tracks  also  add  in  a  small  amount  of  field  recordings.  One  song  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  throat  singing  along  with  some  samples  and  spoken  words  also  being  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  album  and  at times  the  music  also  captures  a  very  apocalyptic  atmosphere.

  On  this  recording  The  Atrocity  Circus  takes  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  industrial  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  very  dark  release.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  disturbing  themes.

Demonologists/Rakshasa/Aesthetic Death/Phage Tapes/2025 Full Length Review

 

  Demonologists  are  a  duo  from  Indiana  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  blackened  noise  and  horror  electronics  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2025  "Rakshasa"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Aesthetic  Death  and  Phage  Tapes.

  Power  electronics  and  atmospheric  sounding  drones  start  off  the  album  while  the  synths  bring  in  more  of  a  dark  ambient  style.  After  awhile  industrial  beats  and  harsh  noises  start  making  their  presence  known  along  with  the  music  also  getting  very  experimental  and  avant  garde  sounding  at  times  and  black  metal  screams  and  demonic  growls  are  also  used  at  times.

  All  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  while  a  couple  of  tracks also  adds  in  a small  amount  of  spoken  word  and  horror/sci-fi  movie  samples.  The  album  also  has  its  ritualistic  moments  along  with  the  heavier  guitars  also  expanding  on  the  extreme  metal  influence  when  they  are  also  introduced  onto  the  recording  and  some  songs  also  add  in  touches  of  goth  rock  and  EBM.

  On  this  recording  Demonologists  take  black  metal,  harsh  noise,  death  industrial,  dark  ambient,  ritual,  experimental,  EBM  and  goth  rock  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  very  diverse  release.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  occultism,  horror,  self  destruction  and  death  themes.

Theologian/All The Tyranny In The World Won't Put A God In The Heavens/Chthonic Screams/2024 Full Length Review

 

  New  York's  solo  project  Theologian  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  blackened  industrial  and  power  electronics  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2025  album  "All  The  Tyranny  In  the  World  Won't  Put  A  God  In  The  Heavens"  which  was  released  by  Chthonic  Screams.

  Spoken  words  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  dark  sounding  synths  a  few  seconds  later  while  a  lot  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  Grim  black  metal  screams  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  power  electronics  which  also  mix  in  a  lot  of  harsh  noises.

  A  lot  of  the  music  also  sounds  improvised  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  industrial  elements.  A  lot  of  the  beats  are  also  programmed  along  with  all  of  the  tracks  also  sounding  very  different  from  each  other  as  well  as  some  clear  singing  and  operatic  choirs  also  being  utilized  briefly,  the  album  also  adds  in  session  work  from  members  of  Dream  into  Dust,  Fragile  Body,  Dead  Editor,  Grot,  Many  Blessings,  Murderous  Vision.  Gnawed,  The  Vomit  Arsonists  and  Snowbeasts.

  On  this  recording  Theologian  takes  black  metal,  industrial,  power  electronics  and  harsh  noise  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  very  divers  release.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  global  hegemony  of  religion,  war,  white  supremacy,  and  humanity's  accelerating  race  to  the  bottom.  

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Theologian  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  blackened  industrial  and  power  electronics,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Plague  Fatigue"  "Chernobyl  Black  Frog"  "Mass  Causality  Event"  and  "Insouciance".  8  out  of  10.

Profan/Tales From The Sabbath Of Equilibrium/Kthon/2022 Album Re-issue Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Portugal's  duo  Profan  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  noise,  drone   and  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2008  album  "Tales  From  The  Sabbath  Of  Equilibrium"  which  was  re-issued  in  2022  by  Kthon.

  Fast  black  metal  style  tremolo  picking  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  harsh  noises  and  power  electronics  a  few  seconds  later.  Touches  of  doom  metal  can  also  be  heard  in  the  slower  riffing  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  dark  sounding  melodies  and  high  pitched  screams  can  also be  hard  on  both  of  the  tracks.

  At  times  the  music  also  goes  into  more  of  an  experimental  direction  while  both  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  A  lot  of  the  music  also  sounds  like  it  is  improvised  along  with  some  synths  and  samples  also  being  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  both  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  towards  the  end. 

  On  this  recording  Profan  takes  harsh  noise,  power  electronics,  drone,  experimental  and  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  an  album  that  sounds  different  from  their  previous  release.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  song  themes  focus  on  occultism.

  Spoken  word  parts  start  off  the  ep  and  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording  while  power  electronics  are  also  utilize  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording.  All  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  the  songs  also  mixing  in  a  great  amount  of  harsh  noises  and  the  music  also  mixes  in  a  great  amount  of  sound  manipulation.

  All  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  while  programmed  beats  and  haunting  atmospheres  can  also  be  heard  at  times.  Synths  and  guitars  are  also  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  are  also  done  in  a  very  non  traditional  way.

  This  is  a  review  of  a  collaboration album  between  Russia's  Goatpsalm  a  band  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  Horthodox  and  they  team  up  to  create  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  noise,  power  electronics,  dark  ambient,  dark  folk  and  doom  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2021  album  "Ash"  which  will  be  released  in  October  as  a  joint  effort  between  Aesthetic  Death  and  Death  Scream  Recordings.

  A  very  silent  sound  starts  off  the  album  before  adding  in  atmospheric  sounding  drones  and  field  recordings.  When  synths  are  utilized  they  also  bring  in  some  elements  of  dark  ambient  while  the  acoustic  guitars  are  done  in  more  of  a  neo-folk  style  and  most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  All  of  the  music  is  also  instrumental  while  the  songs  also  incorporate  the  use  of  a  sampler  at  times.  Folk  instruments  are  also  added  into  some  parts  of  the  album  along  with  each  track  also  sounding  different  from  each  other  as  well  as  some  tracks  also  adding  in  some  death  industrial  and  power  electronic  orientated  soundscapes,  as  the  album  progresses  noises  can  be  heard  and  when  electric  guitars  are  utilized  they  also  add  in  the  heaviness  of  doom  metal  and  dark  yet  melodic  guitar  leads.

  Goatpsalm  and  Horthodox  mixes  their  differing  approaches  to  dark  ambient,  neo-folk,  doom  metal,  death  industrial,  power  electronics  and  noise  to  create  a  very  diverse  and  original  sounding  album  as  well  as  keeping  everything  instrumental  while  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  Dark  ambient  soundscapes  and  synths  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  percussion  a  few  seconds  later.  Power  electronics  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  spoken  word  parts  and  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  

  Programmed  beats  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while  whispers  are  also  added  into  some  parts  of  the  album.  All  of  the  songs  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  death  industrial  elements  as  well  as  the  tracks  also  incorporating  more  noises  as  the  recording  progresses.

Institution D.O.L/The Thelema Tales/Edged Circle Productions/2021 Full Length Review

 

  Institution  D.O.L  are  a  duo  from  Austria  that  plays  a  mixture  of  power  electronics,  industrial,  ritual,  dark  ambient,  electronica  and  field  recordings  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2021  album  "The  Thelema  Tapes"  which  will  be  released  on  June  25th  by  Edged  Circle  Productions.

  Dark  ambient  style  pianos  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  ritualistic  spoken  word  parts  a  few  seconds  later.  Most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  Power  electronics  and  noises  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  along  with  the  music  also  having  its  experimental  and  avant  garde  moments.

  Samples  of  Aleister  Crowley  speaking  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  the  music  also  mixes  in  a  good  amount  of  electronica  and  industrial  sounds.  Chants  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  field  recordings  also  enhancing  the  occult  atmosphere  of  the  music  when  they  are  utilized.

 This  is  a  review  of  a  collaboration  album  between  Israel's  Kadaver  and  U.S.A's  Listing  and  together  they  create  a  mixture  of  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  industrial  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2021  album  "Listing"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Dead  Game  and  Asethetic  Death  Records.

  Harsh  noises  and  power  electronics  start  off  the  album  and  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  death  industrial  style  brutality.  All  3  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  demonic  and  tortured  voices  can  also  be  heard  in  the  background  at  times  and  they  also  add  in  a  touch  of  black  metal.

  High  pitched  screams  and  growls  are  also  added  into  some  parts  of  the  music  while  sound  effects  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording.  All  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  along  with  some  soundscapes,  loops  and  synths  also  being  utilized  briefly  and  most  of  the  music  is  instrumental.

  Kadaver  and  Listing  mixes  their  2  different  styles  together  which  cover  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  industrial  and  mix  them  together  to  create  a  something  very  while  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  collaboration between  Kadaver  and  Listing   and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  industrial ,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Aquatic  Demonic".  8  out  of  10.

Laedis/Ferra-Reto/Nailed Nazarene Industries/2019 Split EP Review

  This  is  a  review  of  a  split  ep  between  Canada's  Laedis  and  Brazil's  Ferra-Reto  which  was  released  in  2019  by  Nailed  Nazarene  Industries  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Laedis  who  returns  with  his  mixture  of  power  electronics  and  death  industrial.

  His  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  some  power  electronics  and  harsh  noises  while  all  of  the  music  is  instrumental  along  with  the  music  also  capturing  the  brutality  of  death  industrial  as  well  as  getting  more  diverse  as  the  track  progresses  and  the  production  also  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  track  from  Laedis  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  death  industrial  and  power  electronics,  you  should  check  out  his  side  of the  split.

  Next  up  is  Ferra-Reto  who  returns  with  his  harsh  style  of  noise.

  His  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  Some  harsh  noises  and  power  electronics  while  also  keeping  everything  instrumental.  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  diverse  sounding  along  with  the  second  track  also  being  slightly  different  yet  brutal  at  the  same  time  and  the  production  also  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Ferra-Reto  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  harsh noise,  you  should  check  out  his  side  of  the  track.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "bell  cabell ros  Iligat  en  plaques  d'acer  trituradora".

  In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  death  industrial,  power  electronics  and  harsh  noise.  8  out  of  10.

Neraterrae 2019 Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the musical project since the recording and release of the new album?
“The Substance of Perception” came out on April 26th via Cyclic Law, after over two years of unceasing work. Did I take a break from producing music since I completed the record and forwarded it to the label? Of course not. Basically I’ve been working on the follow up (which will be out in 2020) since then.

I’m actually making up my mind about the next videoclip too.

2.Recently you have released a new album, how would you describe your musical progress on this recording from previous releases?
It’s been long journey, I feel like I’ve learned a lot throughout the process even though I still have to learn much.
I approached the music differently and I “watched” at it from other perspectives.
I think the tracks sound more immersive than ever, they have a strong evocative feel, and they have a strong character too.
Many techniques were adopted both mixing and mastering wise and what matters the most is that I’m happy with the results, and people seem to be enjoying the album too, which makes it all way gratifying.

3.While all of the earlier releases where instrumental, you added some spoken words and vocals on the new album, can you tell us a little bit more about it?
True, there are some vocals on this record.
You can clearly hear Alexey Tegin’s incomparabile voice on the second track “To Reveal the Unseen”, for example; well, that vocal line was recorded live, one take straight, no editing at all was made, I just treated it a bit in post-production, and the result is mysterious and beautiful.
Also you can notice the eerie voice of Treha Sektori on tracks 3 “Becoming the Nightmare” and 5 “That Which Shall Not Be Witnessed”. I’ve always been a fan of Treha Sektori’s Dehn Sora’s music visions, his unique style and language (yes, that’s his own language) are so original and inspiring and it was just great to have him part of the album.
Some spoken passages can be also heard on track 1 “Shadows of Regret”; that was Northaunt’s idea, which I found very intriguing and I think it gives the song an interesting nuance.

4.How would you describe the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?
The artwork for “The Substance of Perception” was realized by Nihil and Daria Endresen, and let me say that they’ve done a fantastic job, I couldn’t be happier about it. It perfectly fits the overall feel of the music and its theme. I find it to be evocative, a work of beauty enshrouded in mellow obscurity.

5.On the new album you also had some collaborations, can you tell us a little bit more about the musicians and musical projects that where a part of your new album?
Of course, “The Substance of Perception” features: (alphabetical order) Alexey Tegin from Phurpa, Flowers For Bodysnatchers, Infinexhuma, New Risen Throne, Northaunt, Taphephobia, Treha Sektori, Ugasanie, Xerxes The Dark.
The interesting part of the collaborations is that they were born in such a natural way; as I was almost done with the record, I asked these awesome people who I highly esteem to check it and to give me a feedback, suggestions and so on. Then it all happened. Musically speaking, no particular directions were given, not even regarding the theme of the record, I wanted all the people involved to feel free to express themselves.

6.The new album was also released on 'Cyclic Law', how did you get in contact with this label?
Right before finishing and mastering the album I started to look around label wise; the first-and-only label I sent an email to was Cyclic Law, I explained them what I was working on, they showed interest and asked me to let them listen to what I had so far, so I sent them the material, it was approved…and that’s pretty much it.

7.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your fans with the newer music?
I’ve been getting positive feedback from literally all around the world; I got messages and emails from people in Japan, Canada, Russia, South America, people I didn’t know and never spoken to before. Plus, I’ve received some really enthusiastic words from some of my favorite artists about, which is great.

8.What is going on with 'Alma Flua' these days?
We’re on hiatus, each one of us is working on personal projects. We’ll be back, hopefully, someday.

9.What are some of the bands or musical artists you are currently listening to nowadays?
Uhm, there are many. Some new music like: “Alive with Scars” by Flowers For Bodysnatchers, which is great; Bjärgö’s “Återstoden” ; “Exoplanetary” by Ruptured World, which is a phenomenal record with a very strong cinematic feel; “Ghosts on Broken Pavement” by Mount Shrine; “Diminution” by Leila Abdul-Rauf, a very diverse and evocative album; “Vulner” by The Nent, which is intriguing.
Of course I keep listening to what I consider some of the best Ambient/Dark Ambient (and related) records too (not strictly new works): “Ur Djupan Dal” by Atrium Carceri & Herbst9; “Black Corner Den” by Atrium Carceri & Cities Last Broadcast; “Endurance” and “Thirty” by Irezumi; “Opalescent” by Jon Hopkins; “Ava” and “Be Left to Oneself” by Keosz; “Beyond”, “Dark Matter” and “The Dark Places of the Earth” by Lustmord; “Human Stasis Habitat” by Phelios; “Nihtes Niht” by Troum & Aidan Baker; “Call of the North” and “Eye of Tunguska” by Ugasanie; plus Ulver, Ulver and some more Ulver.
Apart from the more Ambient/Electronic field, I’ve been listening to Death Cab For Cutie’s “Thank You for Today”, “Kintsugi”, “Codes and Keys”, “Narrow Stairs” and “Plans” for quite a lot.
Also, during the last week I’ve been spinning: Septicflesh’s “Sumerian Daemon”; “Spiritual Black Dimensions”, “Enthrone Darkness Triumphant” and “Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia” by Dimmu Borgir; Now In Colour’s self-titled album and a lot of Steven Wilson’s solo works.

  Neraterrae  are  a  solo  project  from  Italy  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  power  electronics,  noise,  drone  and  dark  ambient  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2019 album  "The  Substance  Of  Perception"  which  was  released  by  Cyclic  Law  and  consists  of  some  session  musicians  and  collaborations  between  some  very  well  known  artists  from  the  dark  ambient,  drone,  cinematic,  and  ritual music  scenes.

  Dark  ambient  style  synths  start  off  the  album  while  rain  sounds  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  atmospheric  soundscapes.  Spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  and  a  lot  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Atmospheric  sounding  drones  can  also  be  heard  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  one  track  also  introduces  throat  singing  into the  music  and  it  also  adds  in  more  of  a  ritualistic  atmosphere.  All  of  the  tracks  sound  very  different  from  each  other  and  as  the  album  progresses  power  electronics  are  also  added  into  some  parts  of  the music.

  At  times  the  music  gets  very  avant  garde  and  experimental  sounding  while  some  songs  also  add  in  some  touches  of  death  industrial  and  noise  without  getting  chaotic  or  brutal  sounding.  Some  of  the  session  members  on  the  recording  are  also  known  for  their  work  with  Phurpa,  Treha  Sektori,  New  Risen  Throne, Flowers  For  Bodysnatchers,  Taphephobia,  Ugasanie,  Xerves  The  Dark  and  Infinexhuma  and  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Neratarrae  and  you  are  a  fan  of  death  industrial,  noise,  drone,  power  electronics  and  dark  ambient,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Shadows  Of  Regret"  "The  Wicked  Pulse  Of  Conscience "  and  "Echoing  Scars".  8  out  of  10.

Hold Me Down/Self Titled/Sentient Ruin Laboratories/2019 Demo Review

  Hold  Me  Down  are  a  band  from  Virginia  that  plays  a  mixture  of  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  post  industrial  with  some  touches  of  black  and  industrial  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  titled  2019  demo  which  was  released  by  Sentient  Ruin  Laboratories.

  loud  power  electronics  start  off  the  demo  along  with  some  elements  of  post  industrial  and  programmed  beats  a  few  seconds  later.  Harsh  noises  can  also  be  heard  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  and  after  the  intro  heavy  guitars  start  making  their  presence  known  on  the  recording.

  Elements  of  early  90's  era  industrial  metal  can  also  be  heard  in  the  heavier  sections  of  the  demo  along  with  some  spoken  word  samples  also  be  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording.  High  pitched  black  metal  screams  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  some  tracks  are  more  rooted  in  industrial  and  noise  than  metal.

  Hold  Me  Down  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  power  electronics,  harsh  noise,  post  industrial,  black  and  industrial  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  dystopian  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Hold  Me  Down  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  post  industrial  with  some  elements  of  black  and  industrial  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Strapped"  and  "Holy  Failure".  8  out  of  10.

  Kollaps  are  a  band  from  Australia  that  plays  a  mixture  of   post  industrial,  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  no  wave  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2017  album  "Sibling  Lovers"  which  was  released  by  Trait  Records.

  Harsh  noises  and  power  electronics  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  spoken  word  parts  a  few  seconds  later  while  also  mixing  in  elements  of  a  more  underground  post  industrial  style  along  with  some  scrap  metal  taking  the  place  of  a  drum  kit  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  an  avant  garde  feeling.

  Some  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  aggressive  screams  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  a  few  of  the  songs  also  adding  in  bass  guitars  and  programming  as  well  as  the  vocals  also  adding  in   more  of  a  melodic  industrial  style  on  later  songs and  the  music  also  incorporates  elements  of  no  wave.

  Bell  are  a  solo  project  from  the  United  States  that  plays  a  mixture  of  death  industrial,  power  electronics,  harsh  noise  and  dark  ambient  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2018  album  "Secrets  From  A  Distant  Star"  which  was  released  by  Cyclopean  Eye  Productions.

  Atmospheric  yet  distorted  sounding  drones  start  off  the  album  while  the  music  also  brings  in  sci-fi  orientated  soundscapes  at  times  along  with  the  songs  also  bringing  in  a  great  amount  of  power  electronics,  harsh  noise  and  death  industrial  elements  as  well  as  some  spoken  word  parts  being  added  in  some  parts  of  the  songs.

  When  synths  are  utilized  they  bring  in  elements  of  dark  ambient  while  most  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  some  of  the  spoken  word parts  have  a  robotic  and  futuristic  sound  to  them  and  as  the  album  progresses  some  of  the  tracks  start  adding  in  more crazy  screams.as  well as  a  brief  use  of  shamanistic  and  ritualistic  sounding  drum  beats  and  chants  and  all  of  the  tracks  sound  different  from  each  other  and  some  of t he  songs  also  bring  in  clean  vocals.

  Bell  plays  a  musical  style  which  takes  death  industrial,  harsh  noise,  power  electronics  and  dark  ambient  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  his  own,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism,  Ancient  Mysteries,  Forbidden  Sciences,  Conspirac  Theories,  U.F.O's,  Paranormal  and  Esoteric  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Bell  is  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  death  industrial,  power  electronics,  harsh  noise  and  dark  ambient  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Call  To  The  Himalayan  Snow  Creature" "Amazon  Sun"  "Expedition  Tibet"  and  "Song  From  The  Hollow  Earth".  8/5  out  of  10.

Dodsmaskin/Fiende/Cyclic Law/2018 CD Review

  Dodsmaskin is  a  solo  project  from  Norway  that  plays  a  mixture  of  drone,  dark  ambient,  noise,  power  electronics  and  death  industrial  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2018  album  "Fiende"  which  will  be  released  on  April  10th  by  Cyclic  Law.

  Ambient  noise  style  soundscapes  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  drones  in  the  background  along  with  some  natural  noises  a  few  seconds  later  while  the  power  electronics  take  them  into  more  of  a  harsher  direction  as  well  as  mixing  in  elements  of  death  industrial  and  programmed  beats are  also  used  at  times.

The  opening  track  is  all  instrumental  along  with  most  of  them  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  the  music  also  shows  some  influences  of  the  mid  90's  Cold  Meat  Industry  and  Relapse/Release  albums  and  spoken  word  parts can  also  be  heard  briefly  as  well  as  some  tracks  also  mixing  in  elements  of  dark  ambient  and  as  the  album  progresses  industrial  style  vocals  and  melodic  vocals  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

  Dodsmaskin  plays  a  musical  style  that takes  dark  ambient,  drone,  power  electronics,  noise  and  death  industrial  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  his  own  and  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  Dodsmakin  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  drone,  dark  ambient,  noise, power  electronics  and  death  industrial  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Konsekvens"  and  "Posthum".  8  out  of  10.

Dod Beverte/Polarination/2018 Full Length Review

  Dod  Beverte  is  a  solo  project  from  Colorado  Springs,  Colorado  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  harsh  noise,  power  electronics,  death  industrial  and  experimental  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  self  released  2018  album  "Polarination"  which  will  be  released  in May.

  Clean  guitars  along  with  some  avant  garde  elements  start  off  the  album  along  with  the  music  also  getting  very  experimental  at  times  while  bass  guitar  riffs  are  also  used  at  times  as  well  as  some  drum  beats  in  the  background  and  spoken  word  parts  are  also  used  on  some  of  the  songs.

  A  great  amount  of  industrial  elements  can  be  heard  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  while  some  tracks  bring  in  touches  of  power  electronics  and  harsh  noise  along  with  a  great  portion  of  the  songs  being  short  in  length  and  also  sounding  very  different  from  each  other.as  well  as  some  clean  guitars  returning  on  a  regular  track  and  the  last  2  songs  is  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  On  this  recording  Dod  Beverte  goes  into  more  of  an  experimental  direction  while  some  elements  of  noise  and  industrial  can  still  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  music  also  using  a  bass  guitar  as  a  lead  instruments,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  song  themes  focus  on  political  issues.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Dod  Beverte  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  experimental,  industrial  and  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Polarination"  "Straight  Outta  The  Cold  War"  "Holding  Onto  The  pieces"  and  "Nuclear  Wasteland".  8  out  of  10.

 Raven  are  a  solo  project  from  Serbia  that  plays  a  mixture  of  power  electronics  and  harsh  noise  with  a  touch  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2016  ep  "Neoliberal  Dictatorship"  which  was  released  by  Grey  Matter  Productions.

  Harsh  power  electronics  and  brutal  noises  start  off  the  ep  along  with  a  great  amount  of  distortion  and  reverb  and  the  music  also  brings  in  the  brutality  of  noisecore  while  also  adding  in  an  avant  garde  and  experimental  approach  to  harsh  noise  along  with  one  of  the  tracks  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  all  of  the  tracks  are  instrumental  while  also  having  a  touch  of  black  metal  and  death  industrial.

  Raven  plays  a  style  of  harsh  noise  that  is  very  raw  and   brutal  sounding  while  also  being  all  instrumental,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  song  themes  focus  on  anarchism,  animal  liberation,  Anti  fascism,  veganism,  and  environmental  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Raven  are  a  very  great  sounding  harsh  noise  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Neoliberal  Dictatorship"  and  "Millions  Of  Dead".  8  out  of  10.
