Viviankrist/Alabaster White/Ritual Productions/2020 Cassette Review

 

  This  is  the  final  review  of  a  recording  from  Norway's  Viviankrist  which  shows  the music  going  for  a  mixture  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  idm  and  harsh  noise  and  the  album  will  be  released  in  November,  2020  by  Ritual  Productions  as  a  part  of  a  4  tape  cassette  box  and  called  "Alabaster  White".

  Distorted  sounding  drones  start  off  the  album  while  programmed  beats  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording.  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  experimental  sounding  along  with  the music  also  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  power  electronics  and  harsh  noises  and  some  tracks  also  add  in  touches  of  underground  dance  music.

  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  experimental  sounding  while  all  of  the  tracks  are  also  instrumentals.  Some  of  the  songs  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  as  well  as  sounding  very  different  from  each  other  along  with  the  synths  also  bring  bringing  in  elements  of  ambient  when  they  are  utilized,  robotic  voices  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

  On  this  recording  Viviankrist  takes  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  idm  and  harsh  noise and  mixes  them  together  to  take  her  sound  to  another  level  while  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Viviankrist  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  idm  and  harsh  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Punk  Incident"  "Translucent"  and  "Ducks".  8out  of  10.

  This  is  a review  of  another  recording  from  Norway's  Viviankrist  which  shows  the music  going  for  more  of  a  mixture  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental  and  harsh  noise  and  the  album  is  called  "Heavy  Sleep"  which  will  be  released  in  November,  2020  by  Ritual  Productions  as  a part  of  a  4  tape  cassette  box.

   Distorted  sounding  drones  start  off  the  album  while  the  synths  also  bring  in  elements  of  ambient  and  cinematic  music.  Power  electronics  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording  along  with  the  music  also  getting  very  experimental  sounding  at  times as  well  as  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  harsh  noises.

  Most  of  the  tracks  are  also  instrumentals  while  all  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other.  Programmed  beats  can  also  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  recording  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  elements  of  underground  dance  music  as  well  as  some  songs  also  bringing  in  more  of  a  sci-fi  orientated  atmosphere.

  On  this  recording  Viviankrist  goes  for  more  of  a  mixture  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  idm  and  harsh  noise  as  well  as  sounding  very  different  from  her  previous  releases  while  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Viciankrist  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  idm  and  harsh  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Sand  Storm"  "Milk  Clouds'  "Crystal  Cave"  and  "Fragmented  Memories". 8  out  of  10.

  Norway's Viviankrist  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the music  going  for  more  of  a  mixture  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  glitch,  idm  and  harsh  noise and  the  album  is  called  "Pop  Incentive"  which  will  be  released  in  November,  2020  by  Ritual  Productions  as  a  part  of  a  4  tape  cassette  box.

  Electronic  dance  beats  start  off  the  album  while  going  for  the  more  underground  side  of  that  genre  while  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  programmed  beats.  Glitches  are  also  mixes  into  some parts  of  the music  while  also  mixing  in  a  great  amount  of  power  electronics  and  harsh  noises  and  most  of  the  songs  are  also  instrumentals.

  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  experimental  sounding  while  the  synths  also  bring  in  some  elements  of  dark  ambient  and  drone  when  they  are  utilized.  All  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  along  with  the  music  also  bringing  in  a  very  powerful  bass  sound  on  some  of  the  songs.

  On  this  album  Viviankrist  goes  for  more  of  an  idm  and  glitch  style  as  well  as  keeping  some  elements  of  ambient, drone,  experimental  and  harsh  noise  while  the  production  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Viviankrist  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  glitch,  idm  and  harsh  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pop  Incentive"  "Sweet  Dream" "Presence"  and  "Light  Filtering".  8  out  of  10.

Viviankrist/Live In Studio 2018/Ritual Productions/2020 Cassette Review

 

  Viviankrist  are  a  solo  project  from  Norway  that  plays  a  mixture  of  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  harsh  noise  and  psychedelic  music  and  this  is  a  review  her  live  2018  album  which  will be  re-issued  as  a  4  tape  cassette  box  in  November  by  Ritual  Productions.

  Programmed beats  start  off the  album  along  with  some  power  electronic  and  industrial  elements  a  few  seconds  later  before  adding  in  some  harsh  noises  which  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording.  Screams  can  also  be  heard  in  the  background  at  times  along  with  the  music  also having  its  experimental  moments.

  Synths  and  demonic  growls  are  also  added  into  some  parts  of  the  recording  along  with  some  touches  of  ambient.  The  music  also  adds  in  a  great  amount  of  diversity  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  some  psychedelic  and  60's style  science  fiction  soundtrack  movie  sounds  at  times  and  the  second  track  also  brings  in  some  electronic  drones.

  Viviankrist  plays a  musical  style  that  takes  ambient,  drone,  experimental,  harsh  noise  and  psychedelic  music  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  her  own  and  the  production  also  sounds  very  dark.

  In  my  opinion  Viviankrist  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of   ambient,  drone,  experimental,  harsh  noise  and  psychedelic  music  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "2  Days  Before".  8  out  of  10.
